Sith Lord

This is a self portrait of me in my Sith Lord Cosplay (SWTOR inspired, original character creation). I made the costume myself (with a bit of last minute sewing help from my mother). The light saber was hand made by my father, who is a genius! It actually does light up, however I did have to do some editing on this because it did not show up properly when trying to photograph it.

I made the wrist and shoulder armor out of craft foam.
(My first time ever working with craft foam, I learned a lot!)
The symbol on my shoulder armor is the Sith Empire logo and it is hand painted. Contact lenses are from Coastal Contacts

These did not turn out how I wanted, because I was a bit rushed. I shot these the night before attending Emerald City Comic Con (Seattle) and so I had very little time to set up the shoot. I entered the ECCC Costume Contest and I was a Semi Finalist in the Video Game category. However, the winner was of course somebody with a rather impressive Draenei Shaman costume.

My boyfriend also went as a Sith and we didn't get any good shots of us together unfortunately. However a lot of people photographed us and we are in the process of hunting down the images online.

I really love costume making, though it is costly and time consuming. I would really like to get into it on a more regular basis if I can find the time and money.
