Trying something new here using the bokeh...
yes I attempted the bokeh bandwagon....
just wanted to try it out.

I know sometimes it really completes an image.
Not so sure how this looks to everyone else,
but I wanted a minimal texture over the image that would antique it. In fact I don't even think you can tell it was bokeh... it looks more like scratches to me because of how I messed with the original bokeh image.

I think it's beautiful regardless of how you came to make it.

Wow! This is wicked. The colors are awesome in the first place and then the texture really adds a final touch to the photo. It does look like scratches and I think that's awesome because it adds a filmy feel to the photo.

Great use of color. I especially enjoy the errant flecks of glitter stuck in her eyebrow.

This is beautiful. I'm not quite sure what bokehs do still, even though I read a whole page about them about a year ago out of curiosity.
The soft glitter is very pretty and works well with the subtle warm tones, how everything fades together. I dig.

I think bokeh is just a weird work for closeups of things that generally sparkle... weird, abstract macro images of lights or glitter....

lol.

Thanks for the compliment. ;)

Technically it has to do with a very sharp focus somewhere in the image and the rest being blurred.

Its something you do with a ... bokeh lense ...

I can tell that underneath your bokeh texture you have something bokeh-ish, but I think you'll get a lot of shit from people who are serious about this style for photo shopping the texture over it. In their eyes its cheating.

I just wouldn't label it bokeh, but otherwise the images are amazing :)

Love the colours and the framing you've used. :-)

I don't really get it honestly...

and if somebody wants to criticize me for "not doing it right" then I have no idea what the hell they're talking about. Because in my eyes all I did was what looked right to me. And that's really all I care about. Lol.
