A collaboration with the amazing, aka J-Chans Designs. This woman is amazingly talented. She designed the costume, the wig and did the makeup.
And the incredibly gorgeous model is Elizabeth Maiden (Model Mayhem#401472)
My first outdoor photo shoot in a long time at a very neat location. It's an old building near an industrial park near my house which burned down a year or so ago. What's left is a metal and concrete shell. It made for a great setting.
I give permission for *alt-couture to display this in the club gallery.
I'm no photographer so forgive me if things I mention here are...well, silly! But I really like this photo and I saw the critique box so couldn't resist.
I'm absolutely in love with how vivid the colours are. The choice of angle and background are lovely too.
The red of her lips and flowers flows so well- compositionally, this aspect of the photo really makes it easy on the eyes and pleasing. I'm a big fan of using a small range of colours to aid in that.
Now the crits. I tend to like to dot point them so I don't get confusing and ramble.
+ The red strip under the flower on her right [viewer's left] shoulder is really distracting, as is the red at the top of her hair/further in the background. I understand the costume isn't yours but I thought I'd throw that in there anyway.
+ The background is a lovely colour. It works exceptionally well. But The different textures, I feel, take away from it. There is a lot of detail in the model's face and outfit, I personally think the background should be simple so the eye doesn't get lost in there.
+The lack of symmetry balance in this bothers me; feels there is too much red on the left side.
I hope that was useful! I really do love this, though. Exotically beautiful and a really unique twist on a popular fashion.

Now to go eat that soup I cooked...whoops.
