Description

I've been waiting to submit this for a while. It's sorta like the grand finale. I have more shots from working with :iconfairyviper: that I need to edit (we took over 500 photos). But I've been really busy lately. This is definitely one of the best out of everything so far. And I'm proud of it.

Makeup is by me.

Idea was sort of a collaboration between ~FairyViper and me. The model was overcoming a fear during this shoot, of having things drip on her face. And she did an amazing job. Not to mention the goo was cold when I first poured it over her and she was naked. Can anyone guess what the blue substance is? ;)

Wow. I was stunned when I happened upon this photograph, and for all good reasons.

A very creative photograph in my eyes; she does indeed seem "alien", in multiple senses of the word. Her eyes (which are fabulous, by the way. The makeup complements the irises so well, I applaud you) look hollow and distant, which can be a hard-to-pull-off trait. But, her eyes also bring up many questions as others have stated: Is she seeing something far off? Or is she soulless? Does she feel as if she does not belong? (another play on the "alien")

The makeup and "goo" are gorgeous, they literally "pop" onto the screen and off the model's skin, and fit so, so well with the background. I'm amazed how the goo seems to flow so naturally onto the model, and how lovely it coincides with her lips and lipstick and eyes. I can apply the same statement to the flask, as well. Such a bright blue! You have pulled off some lovely wonders here, so all stars for technique and for vision. Your originality is lovely as well, I have seen very few pictures like this before.

Most of all, I love the impact this has made. It's a photograph that creates questions and possible story lines in the viewer's mind, which is exactly what you want to achieve. Excellent work, I cannot wait to see more from you.
